Después de haber firmado un convenio con los trabajadores eventuales, los concesionarios del puerto de Antofagasta, ligados al grupo de Ricardo Claro, desconocen lo firmado y se niegan a trabajar con personal eventual, aduciendo el encarecimiento de las faenas, cuestión que no se condice con lo que han ganado desde septiembre del 1981 asta la fecha, en desmedro de los salarios de los trabajadores, debemos recordarles a los señores empresarios que nuestros sueldos eran de 188 dólares promedios y hoy después de firmar el acuerdo solo se llego a miserables 45 dólares promedio.

Hacemos un llamado a los trabajadores de los puertos de nuestro país y a los trabajadores en general, para iniciar un proceso de coordinación y organización por sobre las cúpulas políticas y gremiales que nos permitan en el corto plazo, no ser otra vez los que paguen lo costos de una crisis en la cual sólo siguen ganando los poderosos.

Como siempre el compromiso, de los portuarios del país, de no atender los buques que provengan de la zona de conflicto y empezar a planificar el paro nacional, de nuestro sector.

Con la razón como arma y la unidad como fuerza, adelante a conquistar lo que es nuestro.
